A hotel with quirky charm
The Roost offers a charming experience with beautifully decorated rooms that give a cozy feel.
The room's wet bathroom layout meant that a shower left the floor soaked. Being located on a busy road meant traffic noise could be distracting at times.

Charming decor adds a lovely touch to the atmosphere.
I was frustrated by the lack of clear signage. Finding the hotel was a maddening challenge! I had to park and ask locals for directions due to poor communication from the owner. My room was frightfully noisy from traffic and pub-goers. Why wouldn't they provide blackout curtains to address the glaring street lighting coming through the blinds?

The decor was quite lovely, but the dirty bathroom hairs really spoiled it! I woudlve found it acceptable but I expected a complimentary upgrade after the noise and cleanliness fiasco. I mean, how hard can it be to keep a hotel clean and quiet? I just couldn't leave a good review for that.

Consider asking for a room away from the main road to reduce noise from traffic, especially at night.

Absolutely adored the unique decor! The bed and bathroom were fine, and we felt right at home. Perfect location, we had everything within walking distance and enjoyed the best cream tea nearby!
Only downside? Traffic noise at night was like an unwanted concert! I guess we traded in sleep for style?

The roost hotel was pretty comfy and clean. We liked how it was all about guest rooms, but no breakfast was a bit odd for a hotel. Easy access with the key box, though. Really loved the peace and quiet, perfect for us to chill after our travels. The shower was decent, just a wet room so everything gets a little splashy!

I enjoyed my stay here, especially the fine design of the bed and bathroom. There were plenty of opportunities to unwind, like the serene garden area and a nice lounge perfect for relaxing after a day out. The only downside was the old window letting in a bit of a draft, but it didn't spoil my experience at all. 😊

The double room was really comfy and clean. I loved the decor, like the bespoke headboard-it gave it a unique touch. The only downside was the wet room layout. I ended up splashing water everywhere when I took a shower. But overall, it was a nice space to relax after a long day!

Charming decor but noisy nights
The room was beautifully decorated with great furnishings and offered a comfy embrace after a day of exploring. The noise from the street disrupted my sleep, especially with pub-goers being loud late into the night was great. A simple addition of blackout curtains could really enhance the experience.
